NaPoWriMo2016, Poetry

Day Nine #NaPoWriMo 2016

Took measurements for the future costumes,
fancy garb to trick and blag;
to slide and moonwalk anywhere I want.

Wrapped treasures for a mermaid with legs,
wanting a garden of her own.
Yellow rose in china, saved by a fluttering guard.
Loaded washing machine: tough battle akin to
an unfriendly washboard, silent and mean witness
to soap flakes in the eyes.
Still standing guard, épée in hand,
won’t allow the pick pockets to get close;
the shameless thieves have been enabled.
