Day Twenty #NaPoWriMo 2016

Shuffle, Lets Cha Cha
I need a night out, prime goal: dancing
from dusk to dawn (as they say)
to become all at once

the smooth Spanish señorita
of acoustic willingfuly changing moods
the green fairy’s spirit if only
two inches tall, an eight-ball heavy
the most natural friend, frozen in time,
of facts and fantasy alike
Princess allowed to sell out
and do the messing around; four sore knees
never the marks left by scabs
whether hidden or ready to be shown
straw or coal haired mysterious being
desires to be beautiful no longer needed
I will always mean every single last step
even the ones when the lights come on
you can usher the girl out of the club
but you can’t tame nor touch this
